Softcover, 45 pages

Fabric of the American Dream showcases Jane Richlovsky’s series of paintings on vintage domestic textiles in which she relocates Edouard Manet’s oblique narratives to the cavernous modern interiors and suburban expanses of the mid-twentieth-century American Dream. Featuring full-color reproductions of ten works plus details, additional visuals illuminating her process and source material, essays by art critic Jim Demetre and the artist, and vintage snapshots of the patterned milieu that informed her aesthetic sensibility. The book comes with a 7″ x 14″ hand-signed print of Prom Night in Tractland as a removable insert, tucked into a 45rpm record sleeve inside the back cover and suitable for framing.
